Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy is a light touch therapy that focuses on the nervous system and the release of trauma from the system. Stemming from the work of Osteopath William Sullivan, craniosacral therapy is a gently therapy suitable for all ages.

Through light listening hands, the practitioner tunes into the rythmns of health within the clients system, called primary respiration. The subtle movements of this respiration guide the session rather than the practitioners intent, allowing health and healing to emerge in an open listening space.

Trauma occurs when we are overwhelmed beyond ability to cope. This happens deep within our nervous system down to a cellular level. This can result in injury, chronic ailments and dis-ease. Craniosacral therapy helps to slow things down allowing the body to decompress and come back to it's natural state of wellbeing. Overwhelm and distress can resolved in a deep level allowing us to feel ourselves and to thrive.

A biodynamic craniosacral therapy session lasts between 50-60 minutes. You will lie on a treatment table fully clothed and I will make light contact usually starting at the feet, then moving intuitively to different areas of the body. CST is not limited to the head or sacrum but the primary respiration can be tuned into from any area of the body.

With regular sessions of craniosacral therapy, you will become more aware of your inner core support. As tension patterns are released, you may start to sense the energetic layers of your being. Becoming more familiar with these different levels of your yourself will help you feel more grounded and centered in your daily life, allowing you to face life's challenges with greater grace and ease.
Trauma Release Exercises (TRE®)

TRE®, developed by Dr. David Berceli, are exercises designed to release physical tension and trauma from the body by stimulating a natural tremor mechanism. This mechanism helps to restore the nervous system to a peaceful and relaxed state, and out of the protective states of fight, flight, and freeze caused by stress. By learning and regularly practicing TRE, you can change your nervous system, becoming more resilient to stress and more socially engaged. The shaking mechanism works through the connective tissues in your body, releasing tension and can help with long-standing tension patterns.
TRE can help with a wide range of issues related to stress and tension, including:

-
Chronic pain and muscle tension
-
Stress, anxiety, and depression
-
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
-
Difficulty sleeping
-
Stomach issues

The great thing with TRE is once you become familiar with the technique you can use it yourself as a self-care practice.

Adam teaches TRE® group classes in London and also 1-1 sessions online and in-person.
