Trauma occurs when an injury—emotional or physical—is not witnessed, or is witnessed poorly, meaning the person's feelings are not acknowledged or validated.

The way we are seen and supported during moments of injury deeply shapes how we view ourselves. When there is no witness, the nervous system often resorts to a single survival strategy: “I’m out of here.” This is dissociation—a part of us disconnects. Over time, this disconnection can show up as frozen or numb areas in the body.

Craniosacral therapy offers a space to gently reconnect with those parts of yourself that were unseen or unacknowledged at the time of trauma. Through subtle touch and mindful awareness, the therapy supports you in becoming your own compassionate witness. This process can shift long-held physical and emotional patterns, ultimately transforming how you relate to your body and your sense of self.
